Pro-form knows how to make good looking equipments and even though this just an entry level model, this one didn’t disappoint. A good look is nice but of course performance is more important. With this one let’s just say looks is better than it’s performance, this is best for light work-out like simple walking, jogging and light running.

The first thing about this treadmill is the overall build quality. Considering the price it is commendable. Because of the easy to understand construction, the assembly is pretty much straight forward until you get to the point of putting the control panel. It maybe is the hardest part since you would need extra effort to install it. ProForm 6.0 RT comes with a great space-saving feature. Measuring in at 70 by 33 inches, it fits most homes even though available space is limited.
The workout information is provided by a LCD (Not Backlit) screen in the console that shows distance, time, speed, incline, and calories burned, though it would have been nice if it’s backlit. The power comes from a 2.5 continuous horsepower motor which is enough for a basic workout and light running but not for any intensive activity. The 10% Quick Incline is a nifty feature if you want challenge on you work out. It lets you increase the incline with just a touch of a button. One of the let down of this treadmill is the size of its running board. It only measures 18″ x 50″, kind of stiff specially to a wide bodied individual. On the upside, the board does a good job in absorbing impact, that results in a comfortable experience.
Proform ensures that you have a guide for your workout with the eight-built in workout programs. This is useful if you’re just starting. It also has easy to use controls when changing speed and the difficulty of your run, so putting variation to your routine will never be an issue. The handlebars have a tool to measurement your heartrate thanks to a EKG Grip Pulse sensor, though it’s not flawless and have problems at time, the calorie counter seem accurate even though it doesn’t ask for your age and weight.
The ProForm 6.0 RT is not perfect, there are some things that could have been done better. Because of the small size this is good for those looking for a light workout treadmill that doesn’t have large space to move around. If your need is just for basic work out this is a good option but for those looking for a treadmill that handles more intensive work you can only hope that it’s performance should have been as good as it looks.
